self-select book day. Educators who sign
up can come to the Book Hub and select
up to 100 books for their classrooms.

teachers to be able to share books with

COLLECTIVE BLOCK PARTY:
Bushwick Collective is celebrating its
10th anniversary with a bang. 20 live
performances, including one from
GHOSTFACE KILLAH, will take center
stage while New Yorkers can enjoy food,
art and more in person on Saturday.
It’s free to join in the fun, but some VIP
packages are still available for purchase!

18th Century American Faire We’re
teaming up with our friends at Green-
Wood Cemetery to present a familyfriendly
afternoon with reenactors,
demonstrations, music, storytelling, and
hands-on activities. Join us to explore
Brooklyn’s past! This is an outdoor
event, masks are strongly recommended
regardless of vaccine status. The event
requires attendees to walk over hilly
and uneven terrain, proper footwear is
recommended. Please follow directions/
instructions from Green-Wood’s staff and
ambassadors. Free timed-entry tickets
are required for all guests over age 12,
those under age 12 must be accompanied

FESTIVAL MINOKAN: A Celebration
of Haitian Culture. Festival Minokan
invites all members of the community
to participate in the rich traditions of
Haitian culture and Haitian Vodou.
Together we’ll honor our spirits and
our ancestors, praise the Earth, and
rejoice in song and dance. Join us as
we explore the history of Vodou and
the Haitian diaspora through artist’s
talks, dance, song, and food. This year,
Festival Minokan will be focusing on the
sacred site of Seremoni Petwo (Ceremony

to participate and all ages are welcome.
Traditional food, drink, and crafts will
be available for purchase. HEALTH &
SAFETY We respectfully ask that all
visitors (over the age of 2 years) adhere
to mask wearing and social distancing
requirements while visiting the park and
museum. Following these protocols will
also help protect those who are unvaccinated,
including families who visit with
young children. Hand sanitizer will be
available throughout the park and event.
We will have extra masks if you do not
bring your own. We recommend using
the restroom before your arrival. There
are two port-o-sans on the property.

friends from Ferraiolo Fencing will
return to the Park this weekend for a
free community fencing demo. Neighbors
of all ages are welcome to meet
on the Lawn (5th Ave side of OSH) to

BIKE TOUR WITH RICH GARR:
Join local artist, educator, and tour
guide Rich Garr for a bicycle tour commemorating
the 245th anniversary
of the Battle of Brooklyn. This tour
explores important sites from the
borough’s Revolutionary past beginning
at Grand Army Plaza and ending
in Brooklyn Heights overlooking New
York Harbor. The tour is anticipated to
take 2.5 hours. Limited to 15 riders so
reserve soon! Tickets are available via
Eventbrite, tickets do not include a bike
rental. $30, meet at Grand Army Plaza.

VI TRILOGY: Stairwell Theater presents
the rarely seen first section of Shakespeare’s
Henry VI trilogy. Bring a picnic
blanket and settle into this thrilling
war play featuring military music, puppets,
and derring-do. The performance
runs approximately 120 minutes with
intermission. Presented outdoors, free to
