 on May 14 for the 45th Council  
 District Louis defeated her  
 opponents and is once again  
 being challenged by first runner 
 up in the Special Election,  
 Monique Chandler-Waterman  
 and others. 
  She is being endorsed by

 Bill de Blasio, Brooklyn Borough  
 President, Eric Adams,  
 Democratic  Party  Leader,  
 Frank Seddio, District Leaders  
 Lori Maslow, Doug Schneider,

 Kagan.  
 Louis,  a  first-generation  
 Brooklynite, has been a community  
 organizer and publicist  
 with  more  than  15  years  of  
 experience and dedication to  
 advocacy and public service. 
 She  is  campainging  on  a  
 theme  “It’s  Time  for  a  Brooklyn  
 that Works for All of Us”  
 and intends to fight for affordable  
 housing, funding for education  
 and  economic  development  
 for  our  neighborhoods  
 of NYC. 
 This candidate is well qualified  
 having  earned  a  Master’s  
 in  Public  Administration  and  
 a Bachelor Degree  in English.  
 She  gained  tremendous  experience  
 while  working  as  the  
 deputy chief of staff and budget  
 director  for  Council  Member,  
 Jumaane  Williams  (Council  
 District 45). She has shown  
 leadership  having  launched  
 several  grassroots  initiatives  
 with  several  city  agencies,  
 non-profit  organizations  and  
 business. 
 Louis is the founder of Girls  
 Leading  Up  (GLU),  an  organization  
 that  offers  educational  
 workshops, programs and mentorship  
 opportunities  to  prepare  
 young women to become  
 emerging global leaders and to  
 ensure young women are mentally, 
  emotionally and skillfully  
 ready  to  compete  in  today’s  
 challenging economic market.
