Dear Western Queens, I love to embrace the beginning of the New Year. Facebook updates are loaded with positive intentions, and twitter measures resolutions in 140 characters or less. The holidays, though joy-filled, have passed—and we depart our kitchens and dining rooms and head to the gym. This January, we reflect on what was another unbelievable year of growth. Queens was named the #1 destination for travel. We gained many new restaurants, and lost a few favorites.
