Rést-âü-Chicken “In my family, we all cooked,” smiles Tina Stipanovic. “We had a home-cooked meal on the table every night.” Her ebony hair is tied above her head, and her chocolate eyes shine brightly from below her schoolgirl bangs as she reflects longingly on her childhood. She feels like an instant friend, someone you can trust, and someone you’d love to sit back and relax with over a glass of wine. She was born in Croatia, and moved here in 1992. “My dad was here, and my mother, sister, and I came over and joined him.” Tina earned her Masters Degree in Sculpture, and put herself through school with her ability to cook. She laughs, “I guess I realized as a sculptor I would never be able to eat unless I opened my own restaurant!” But the artwork always remained close to her heart. “Food was a really big part of my childhood,” she recalls, “and I had a great connection to it.
