NIGHTLIFE Our team has gladly taken a nibble at hundreds of the most delectable bites available in Western Queens during this past year. While taste is admittedly a very subjective measurement, we thought we would share a handful of our favorite new dishes that came across our plates this past year from new restaurants in the neighborhood. Like everyone else, we love L’Incontro, Kyclades, Kebab Café, Sanfords, Vesta, the Beer Garden, Queens Comfort, Butcher Bar, Petey’s, Il Bambino, and so many more. Solomon Gundy M. The Crème Brulee Doughnut from Doughnut Plant When the Falchi Building announced its plans to have Doughnut Plant join their facility, we started drooling at the prospect of having such exquisite doughnuts so close within reach. They actually brulee-torch this little doughseed doughnut so the thin caramel coating cracks at the bite, giving way to sweet doughnut pastry and custard beneath. 20 | BOROMAG.COM | JANUARY 2015
