CARGO TO DELIVER
Air cargo and partners are pressing for the
massive global delivery of vaccines to be criss
crossing the planet. Estimates of 8,000 freighters
needed to supply the world’s population.
Atlas Air was one of the main and largest freighter companies to bring much needed PPE supplies into the JFK Airport in their 747
aircraft during the early months of the pandemic. It is expected that they again will be one of essential air cargo companies working
closely with supply partners around the world to deliver vaccines as soon as they are tested and approved for use in the U.S.A

The lack of anew Congressional
CARES 2 Bill has triggered a number
of lay-offs and furloughs from airlines
and relates service companies at our local
airports and across the country. Just
recently American and United have furloughed
over 30,000 workers. More than
40,000 Delta workers signed up for short-
and long-term unpaid leave and said that
it may still furlough about 1,700 pilots in
the near future. Nearly 17,000 employees
at Southwest have signed up for leaves,
buyouts or early retirement, and the company
said it is seeking labor concessions
and cutbacks to avoid layoffs. According
to a CBS report, over 10 million Americans’
jobs are supported by commercial
aviation.
