The airline Industry is ready to
welcome back flyers with health
& safety improvements
The aviation world is ready to welcome
back passengers with anti-covidvirus
measures to increase confidence in
flying.
The NYNJ Port Authority is working
with terminals, airlines and airport
stakeholders implementing procedures
for safe passage. The new normal will be
very different from the minute passengers
enter the terminals to security and
gate lines to boarding to aircraft seating.
Masks will be required to enter the
terminals and likely required to fly. Social
distancing will create personal space
with signage throughout the journey.
Touch less interactions from buying from
concessions to boarding are in the process
of constant evolution to insure hygiene.
The initial number of flights will
be domestic with international flights increasing
in July and August.

The arrivals, departures,

the new facility at LaGuardia
Airport now open for
passengers. Known as the
head house, this building
is the product of years of
activity at LGA. It stands
as a model of partnerships
and a real example of successful
infrastructure created
by the Port, LGP, its
workforce and through
community job opportunity.
Close to a million sq,
feet, this building connects
via a skywalk covering the
soon to be completed aircraft
taxiway which will be
visible from the walkway.
