comedian Tracy Morgan, who lived in Bedford-Stuyvesant while
he was young, and spent his formative years in the borough.

Borough President Adams joined representatives from WeWALK
— developers of a “smart cane” for the visually impaired — to
demonstrate the fi rst-of-its-kind technology, and to announce
the launch of a pilot program in Brooklyn with employees of the
Metropolitan Transportation Authority, as well as clients of Helen
Keller Services for the Blind and Lighthouse Guild.

Borough President Adams spoke out against the proposed plan
to create a six-lane highway on the Brooklyn Heights Promenade
in order to repair the Brooklyn–Queens Expressway’s triple cantilever
at a community rally along the beloved walkway.

Borough President Adams joined community leaders in Kensington
to unveil the street co-naming of Muhammad Ali Jinnah Way,
at the corner of Coney Island and Foster avenues, which offi cials
christened in honor of the founder of Pakistan and as a tribute to
